148 PMA Long Course: 6 Palestinian cadets among military graduates

Abbottabad: The Pakistan Military Academy’s (PMA) recent passing-out parade was a resounding success, with a diverse group of cadets showcasing their exceptional talents. The event, which took place at the PMA Kakul on a Saturday, celebrated the achievements of cadets from the 148th PMA Long Course, 67th Integrated Course, 35th Technical Graduate Course, and the 22nd Lady Cadet Course.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding prestige to the already momentous event.

The coveted Sword of Honour was proudly awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdur Rehman Awan, recognizing his exceptional leadership and dedication. Furthermore, the President’s Gold Medal was presented to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Hamza Khalid, who showcased exemplary performance throughout his course.

In a significant moment, Battalion Senior Under Officer Shreejan Baniya from Nepal was honored with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal, highlighting the international diversity within the academy’s cadet body.

Commandant’s Canes were presented to Course Under Officer Muhammad Najam Azam of the 67th Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Fareeha Kainaat Arif of the 22nd Lady Cadet Course, acknowledging their outstanding contributions.

Recognizing excellence in technical expertise, the Chief of Army Staff Cane was awarded to Company Quarter Master Sergeant Frasat Toufique of the 35th Technical Graduate Course.

Notably, this passing-out parade featured cadets hailing from various nations, including Iraq, Maldives, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Yemen, showcasing the academy’s international reach and commitment to fostering global cooperation and understanding.

The PMA passing-out parade serves as a testament to the dedication, discipline, and excellence instilled in cadets from a diverse array of backgrounds, as they embark on their journey to serve their respective nations with honor and distinction.
