Lahore: Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman has confirmed that he has received three names from Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi for caretaker chief minister.
Governor Punjab said that I am sending this name to the Leader of Opposition Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz and I would like the two leaders to agree on one name in due time.
It should be noted that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had sent 3 names to the Governor for caretaker Chief Minister in which the names of Ahmed Nawaz Sukhira, Nasir Mehmood Khosa and Muhammad Naseer Khan have been suggested.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has also called a consultative meeting to consider the matter of caretaker chief minister of Punjab. The consultative meeting called by the top leadership of PML-N will be held at the residence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Model Town.
PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif will preside over the meeting through video link. Ahsan Iqbal and Ishaq Dar and other leaders of PML-N reached Model Town to attend the meeting.
