Karachi: During the last one week in the country, the foreign exchange reserves of the central bank have decreased by more than 30 crores.
According to the statement released by the State Bank, the volume of foreign exchange reserves with the Central Bank is 7 billion 536 million dollars, while other scheduled banks have reserves of 5 billion 64 million 99 million dollars.
Thus, the total foreign exchange reserves of the country were 13 billion 24 billion 68 million dollars.
According to the State Bank, foreign exchange reserves decreased by 303 million dollars in one week, the reduced foreign exchange was spent on repaying commercial loans and paying interest on Eurobonds.
