Washington: OceanGate has announced that the five people onboard a missing submersible have died.
According to the Times, the Titan Submarine Company confirmed the death of the passengers. Submarine company Oceangate has expressed regret over the loss of passengers. Oceangate said all passengers aboard the missing Tatian submarine were killed.
According to international media, experts involved in the search operation have claimed that the wreckage found consists of the submarine’s landing frame and rear cover, the wreckage indicating that the submarine was destroyed by an explosion.
Earlier, the US Coast Guard has said that wreckage has been found near the sunken ship Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean, which may be the missing submarine.
The US Coast Guard informed about the progress of the rescue operation and said that traces of the wreckage have been discovered with the help of a remote control vehicle, which is being examined by experts.
A joint search team was formed to search for the missing submarine, using their own resources to track down the submarine and rescue the five people on board.
