53 Companies from Pakistan Participating at GITEX-22,Dubai

Dubai Staff Report : “This year Pakistan is participating with 53 companies at GITEX, 2022. These companies working in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Block chain, Metaverse, Agritech, Edtech etc. are an example of immense talent, creativity and expertise that exist in Pakistan”, said Syed Amin ul Haq, Minister for Information Technology and telecommunications, Pakistan.
He was inaugurating Pakistan Pavilion at 42nd Edition of GITEX Global 2022 at World Trade Center, Dubai today. The Exhibition will continue from October 10-14, 2022.


Talking about Pakistan’s ICT exports, Syed Amin ul Haq mentioned that Pakistan’s ICT exports have doubled in last three years. Pakistan’s ICT’s export remittances, including telecommunication, computer and information services recorded growth of 47.6% in FY 2020-21 in comparison with FY 2019-20. In 2021, Pakistani startups raised a record investment which was 450% higher than investment raised in 2020.
Pakistan is a leading offshore destination for ICT services with Pakistani IT companies serving global enterprises in over 120 countries all over the world. Accoring to Kearney’s Global Service Location Index 2021, Pakistan is ranked as the 2nd most financially attractive location in the world for offshore outsourcing services. Pakistan is the 2nd largest supplier of online Labor in software development and technology as per ILO Flagship report 2021.
Appreciating the event where 90 countries are participating, Syed Amin ul Haq said that GITEX provides an ideal platform to Pakistani exhibitors to interact and network with key industry players, explore business opportunities and learn important developments taking place around the world.
