DUBAI: As a part of its endeavours to spread happiness and positivity among various segments of the society, the Dubai Police has fulfilled the wish of two siblings — Joy and Gabriella Raymond Pastoros — to wear the Force’s uniform and have a ride in one of the Dubai Police’s luxury police patrols.
The Security Awareness Department at the General Department of Community Happiness, in collaboration with the Tourism Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigations, the K9 Department, and Hamleys Toys Company, had learned the siblings’ wishes from their parents. Consequently, they gifted them a police uniform and offered a ride in one of Dubai Police’s luxury police patrols.
Lt. Col. Dr. Saud Al Rumaithi, Director of the Security Awareness Department at the General Department of Community Happiness, confirmed that this kind gesture is part of the ‘Fulfil a Child’s Wish’ initiative, which aims to spread happiness and positivity among children of different ages and nationalities.
He highlighted that Dubai Police is committed to fulfilling the community members’ requests to spread happiness and reinforce public confidence in law enforcement. Al Rumaithi also emphasised the significance of the social role that the Dubai Police plays in addition to their security responsibilities.
Joy and Gabriella’s family expressed their gratitude to the Dubai Police for their swift and generous response and for having fulfilled their children’s wishes.
