Faizabad sit-in: TLP asks govt declare Netanyahu ‘terrorist’

Islamabad: The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) continued its protest sit-in at the Faizabad interchange in Islamabad for the third consecutive day on Monday, demonstrating against Israeli aggression in Gaza.

The protestors have vowed to persist with their sit-in until their demands are met. TLP chief Saad Rizvi has called for the provision of medical and food aid to Palestine and has demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be officially declared a terrorist.

The rally and subsequent sit-in have caused severe traffic disruptions, leading to significant traffic jams on major roads and creating difficulties for commuters traveling between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

An official from the interior ministry, speaking anonymously to BBC Urdu, confirmed that the federal government has not yet initiated any negotiations with the protesting TLP group.
