QUETTA: The Customs Collectorate Quetta successfully foiled a major attempt to smuggle narcotics worth billions of rupees, seizing a huge quantity of crystal ice methamphetamine concealed in a truck’s modified fuel tank.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Field Enforcement Unit (FEU) Nushki conducted the operation on credible information provided by the Collector Customs (Enforcement) Quetta.

During the search, officials recovered 300 kilograms of crystal/ice methamphetamine, with an estimated value of Rs18.65 billion in the international market. The narcotics were being smuggled from Taftan to Quetta.
The FBR stated that the truck used in the smuggling attempt, valued at Rs8 million, has also been seized. Both suspects on board were arrested, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against them.
Further investigations are underway to trace the network involved in the smuggling attempt.
