AMMAN: The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has expressed optimism for a strong rebound in tourism activity across the Kingdom at the start of the upcoming winter season, following improved regional conditions after the cessation of the war in Gaza.
According to JTB, the easing geopolitical situation has positively impacted travel across the Middle East, paving the way for renewed momentum in Jordan’s tourism sector. The Board noted that several low-cost airlines have resumed flights to the Kingdom, a move expected to significantly boost visitor arrivals and support tourism-related industries including hospitality, transport, and services.
“Jordan’s tourism industry is highly optimistic about a promising winter season this year,” a JTB spokesperson said. “The return of low-cost flights at this crucial time represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen Jordan’s tourism sector, particularly as regional stability improves.”
Jordan continues to enjoy a reputation as a safe and diverse tourism destination rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. A noticeable increase in arrivals from Europe and the GCC region is expected throughout the winter months.
Among the key developments, Ryanair has resumed its services to Amman as part of the Winter 2025/2026 schedule, launching routes from 18 major European cities including Milan, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Brussels, Prague, Venice, and Sofia. The airline will operate 84 weekly flights, offering 300,000 seats to Amman from 12 EU countries, marking a record level of connectivity between Jordan and Europe.

Meanwhile, Eurowings, a German low-cost carrier, officially launched its inaugural Stuttgart–Amman service on October 27 following a cooperation agreement with the JTB, further expanding Jordan’s access to European travelers.
JTB also encouraged tourists from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to explore Jordan this winter, highlighting the country’s mild climate, scenic landscapes, and signature hospitality. It noted that the Kingdom’s proximity and convenient access make it ideal for short getaways and family vacations, with destinations such as Amman, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba offering unique winter experiences.
