FBR Foils Major Smuggling Attempt Near Kot Addu

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that the Customs Enforcement Team in Multan successfully foiled a major smuggling attempt, seizing a large consignment of illegal goods concealed beneath sand in a truck on the Kot Addu Road.

According to the FBR, the recovered smuggled items included betel nuts, cigarettes, China salt, and gutka. The total estimated value of the confiscated goods and vehicle is approximately Rs. 15.5 million.

The seized items and the vehicle have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated under the Customs Act, 1969.

The FBR reiterated its firm resolve to curb smuggling and safeguard national revenue, emphasizing that strict enforcement actions will continue against all those involved in illegal trade activities.
