Dubai: In a step reflecting the UAE’s human-centered approach and its focus on improving quality of life in work environments, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai), through its Labor Events Administration and in cooperation with Global Village, organized a special ceremony to honor members of the Global Village workforce. The event recognized their continuous efforts and contribution to operational work over the years.
Aligned with its institutional mission to promote community values, the initiative highlights GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to acknowledging those who support the city’s operational momentum, fostering a culture of gratitude, and building a work environment rooted in humanity and mutual respect.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and Major General Obaid Mehyer Bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, along with several assistant directors general—an attendance that underscored the institution’s appreciation for the workforce contributing to the success of major projects.
During the event, GDRFA Dubai honored 32 members of the workforce, giving priority to senior and long-serving workers in recognition of their years of dedication. A total of 30 commemorative gifts were presented as tokens of appreciation for their ongoing contributions.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said the workforce at Global Village represents an essential part of the success of this international destination, adding that every individual contributing to Dubai’s work ecosystem deserves recognition. He said their efforts remain a source of appreciation and pride.
