Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Tuesday affirmed that terrorists would not be allowed to enforce their system on Pakistan, emphasizing the nation’s support for its armed forces and the importance of unity in protecting the state.
Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad, Bugti praised the country’s martyrs and welcomed the surrender of around 100 militants in Dera Bugti. He reiterated that the state “has left the door of forgiveness open” for anyone willing to abandon violence.
Sharing security statistics, Bugti said 900 terrorism-related incidents occurred in the past year, resulting in the deaths of 760 militants, 280 civilians, and 205 paramilitary personnel, including two officers from Balochistan. He asserted that terrorists would never succeed in enforcing their ideology, and criticized anti-state narratives targeting Pakistan’s military and national institutions.

Bugti also addressed regional developments, criticizing the Taliban government in Afghanistan for failing to meet international commitments and urging Pakistanis to prioritize state stability over politics. He clarified that no large-scale military operations were ongoing in Balochistan, only intelligence-based actions.
The chief minister voiced support for the DG ISPR’s recent press briefing, condemned propaganda against the army, and stressed that the people of Balochistan remain firmly behind Pakistan’s armed forces. He called on political leaders to focus on peace and development and reminded citizens to direct grievances at governance issues, not the state itself.
