Peshawar Corps clinches title as Asim Munir attends closing ceremony at Jinnah Polo Fields

Rawalpindi: The 50th Chief of the Army Staff Polo and Tent Pegging Championship 2025 concluded with a closing ceremony at the Jinnah Polo Fields in Lahore, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, Army Chief Asim Munir attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The interior minister, Punjab chief secretary and a large number of spectators were also present on the occasion. Upon arrival, the army chief was received by the Lahore corps commander and the chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation.

ISPR said the championship reflected the Pakistan Army’s traditions of sportsmanship, discipline and excellence. Eight teams took part in the event, with Peshawar Corps emerging as champions, while Gujranwala Corps finished as runners-up.

During the closing ceremony, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winning and participating players.
