Dubai: Art, reflection, and the comforting aroma of coffee came together in a beautiful celebration of creativity during “Brews of Blessings – Ramadan Reflections in Coffee,” a special live coffee painting session organised by Art4you Gallery at The Coffee Club on 22 February 2026.
The unique gathering transformed the café space into a calm creative sanctuary where artists, families, and art enthusiasts explored the spiritual and reflective essence of Ramadan through coffee painting. Designed as a mindful artistic experience, the session invited participants to slow down, connect with the moment, and translate their thoughts and emotions into expressive artworks.

Painting with Coffee: A Sustainable Artistic Expression
Coffee provides a sustainable and natural substitute for conventional paints in artistic expression. Warm sepia tones ranging from delicate washes to deep espresso hues were produced by artists using brewed coffee as pigment. Each piece of art has an own personality thanks to the medium’s organic flow and natural staining effect, which created delicate layers and textures.
As artists transformed the sacred emblems of the holy month into delicate compositions with coffee tones, the artworks produced during the session exquisitely captured the essence of Ramadan. Layered sepia washes revealed crescent moons shining over mosque outlines, softly lighted lamps, open pages of the Quran, dates signifying sustenance and thankfulness, and persons engrossed in prayer. Each artist used the warm tones of freshly brewed coffee to capture peaceful, contemplative, and devotional moments. These iconic Ramadan symbols were both peaceful and powerful, like subdued tales gently brewed from faith, culture, and reflection, thanks to the medium’s inherent earthy tones, which gave the images a timeless feel.
Participants created visual tales throughout the workshop that incorporated themes of inner peace, lanterns, crescent moons, unity, faith, and thankfulness. The contemplative nature of Ramadan was exquisitely reflected in the earthy tones of coffee, resulting in works of art that were both personal and significant. The workshop also demonstrated how commonplace, basic materials may be transformed into effective artistic instruments. By means of perseverance and meticulous layering, artists converted coffee into a medium that could convey meaning, depth, and emotion.

Live Art in a Warm Café Ambience
The Coffee Club’s friendly atmosphere enhanced the event’s allure. Participants worked in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere where creativity flowed freely, all while surrounded by the calming scent of freshly made coffee. The 16 artists’ live painting session, which gave visitors a close-up look at the coffee painting process, was one of the event’s highlights. Viewers could see how artists manipulated the coffee’s tonal fluctuations to create contrast, depth, and narrative from the initial diluted wash to the last detailed strokes.Because of this participatory experience, the session evolved from a simple art project to a collaborative creative journey where discussions, introspection, and artistic inquiry took place.
Artists Behind the Coffee Creations
16 artists participated live in the event, each using coffee painting to convey their own take on the Ramadan topic. Cristina Gabriela, Vasilisa Eliseeva, Jesno Jackson,Elias Avad, Rose Anne Portillo, Nataliia Venerova, Barathi Mehansi, Varvara Baiganova,Maiia Opuk,Rashmitha Puthran, Dr. (Hons.) Sustainability at the Heart of Creativity
The Green Revolution DXB, a sustainability partner founded by Dr. (Hons.) Bhumika Dhaval Maniyar, gladly sponsored the event, reaffirming the idea that art and environmental consciousness can coexist. The program encouraged artists to investigate sustainable creative techniques while participating in current discussions about environmental responsibility by promoting coffee painting as an eco-friendly medium. All of the artists and sponsors received gifts of plants.

A Celebration of Art, Reflection, and Community
Brews of Blessings turned become a time for bonding. In an environment that combined art, culture, and a sense of community, artists and guests exchanged tales, concepts, and creative inspiration. The event perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the holy month, a time for introspection, thankfulness, and community, through the contemplative themes of Ramadan and the cozy coffee tones. Everyone in attendance was reminded by the event’s transformation of a basic cup of coffee into a vehicle for artistic storytelling that creativity frequently starts with the most basic components and can produce something genuinely meaningful when directed by intention and introspection.
