GUANGZHOU: In a major move to strengthen cross-border trade and economic cooperation, the high-level ‘AIM Talks China 2026’ officially kicked off today in the Tianhe CBD of Guangzhou, China.
The event, held under the umbrella of the prestigious AIM Congress—the world’s leading investment platform—has brought together over 350 global investors, policymakers, and business leaders from China, the UAE, and international markets.
A massive high-level delegation of more than 100 participants from the UAE is currently attending the event to explore new investment pathways and bilateral initiatives.

‘Deepening Ties’: UAE Leadership Addresses the Summit
Delivering the opening address, H.E. Fahad Al Gergawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade, underscored the UAE’s unyielding commitment to boosting trade connectivity with China.
“The UAE’s economic engagement with China continues to evolve in both scale and strategic importance, driven by a shared commitment to trade, investment, and long-term growth,” Al Gergawi stated. “AIM Talks China provides a timely platform to deepen that engagement by connecting institutions, investors, and businesses within one of the world’s most dynamic economic regions.”
Echoing his sentiments, Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations and the Higher Committee for Economic Integration in the Emirate of Sharjah, emphasized that the conference comes at a critical time of rapid global economic shifts.
“The UAE and China share strong foundations, including economic openness, a commitment to knowledge and innovation, and the ability to adapt to global change. This conference provides an important platform for advancing partnerships that support sustainable growth,” Sheikh Fahim added.
