WEB DESK: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has appreciated the people of Balochistan for their continued support and cooperation with security forces, saying that public participation is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in the province.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief expressed these views during a meeting with participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan.
Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Munir said the security forces, with the continued support of the people, would remain committed to eliminating terrorism and restoring peace across Balochistan.
He reaffirmed that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would continue, stressing that Pakistan’s determination to eliminate terrorism and those facilitating such activities remained firm.
The army chief said foreign-sponsored elements had attempted to disturb peace and stability in Balochistan, but their objectives would be defeated through a decisive response by the Pakistan Armed Forces.
He reiterated that terrorist networks and their infrastructure would be dismantled, adding that the designs of those seeking to destabilise Pakistan would never succeed.
Field Marshal Munir also acknowledged the role of civil society, educational institutions, media and youth in promoting peace, development and national progress.
Calling Balochistan Pakistan’s pride, he said the people of the province were its greatest strength and their cooperation remained vital for sustainable peace and prosperity.
The participants of the National Workshop Balochistan reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, progress and sovereignty, according to ISPR.
