AIIB appreciates govt’s reforms, economic policies

Islamabad: The World Bank has lauded the efforts of the Government of Pakistan to deal with the difficult economic situation and has assured full support for World Bank-funded development projects in Pakistan.

According to the Ministry of Finance, World Bank Regional Director Mathew Varghese met Finance Minister Ishaq Dar yesterday in which the macroeconomic framework and future development roadmap were discussed.

Mathew Varghese appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan to deal with the challenging economic situation and offered the full support of the World Bank for economic stability.

Ishaq Dar appreciated the World Bank’s support in flood recovery efforts and assured full support for World Bank-funded development projects in Pakistan.
