Akhtar Hayat appointed new IG of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: Police officer Akhtar Hayat has been appointed as the new IG of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, after the approval of the federal government, Akhtar Hayat, a grade 21 police officer working in FIA, has been appointed Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the former IG KPK Moazzam Jah Ansari has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.

Earlier, Akhtar Hayat was DIG Special Branch Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and he has also served as DIG Malakand.
