SHARJAH: Concerts are a bonding experience that bring people together. They provide the much-needed social encounters between individuals and families, lowers stress hormones and contribute fruitfully towards positive mental feelings among the participants and the audience.
The first ever Grades 1 and 2 Primary Concert at ASPAM Indian International School was indeed a unique and a memorable event as it marked the beginning of the decade celebrations of the school.
The gala event was attended by Her Excellency Munira Al Blooshi, owner and General Secretary of Al Matiya Sports Club, a businesswoman and an entrepreneur par excellence, and His Excellency Juma Madani, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of Al Matiya Sports Club.
The theme of the concert was based on an age old fairy tale, tweaked to suit the present day context of sustainability.
When Billy, the hero of the story ‘Magical World of Fantasy’, inherits a talking cat from his father, he rejoices and truly cares for his cat. In return, the pet cat conveys Billy’s good deeds to the king. The king is impressed and decides to check Billy’s accomplishments.
On visiting the countryside, the king witnesses Billy’s endeavours to protect nature, support sustainable farming and make his fellow villagers self-sufficient. The king views Billy as a global citizen and gives his daughter in marriage to Billy.
Billy and the princess vow to take selfless care of their fellow men and develop the kingdom as an ecologically sustainable nation.
Thus, reminding the audience of the importance of our roles and responsibilities towards the progress and development of the country.
