All Clear in CTD compound operation at Bannu, Kh Asif

Peshawar: The CTD officials who were taken hostage in Bannu were released, all the terrorists were killed in the operation of the security forces, two officials were martyred and 15 were injured including an SSG officer.

According to Leading News, two days ago, the terrorists of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked the CTD compound and took the officials hostage and presented various demands in exchange for their release, including safe passage to Afghanistan. The demand for giving was also included.

Sources say that during the operation, there was intermittent firing from both sides and all the terrorists were killed in the encounter, after which the compound was declared clear.

33 terrorists were in the custody of CTD, all were killed in the operation, Defense Minister

Meanwhile, in the joint session of the Parliament, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif told the House that eighteen terrorists were in the custody of CTD.

He said that the SSG started the operation at 12:30 on December 20 in which all 33 terrorists were killed. Ten to fifteen personnel including an SSG officer have been injured, the sad part is that terrorism is on the rise again.

He said that the operation has been completed in Bannu, but the clearance process is going on, the details of the incident will be released by ISPR, some of our soldiers were injured and two were martyred.

The Defense Minister said that the terrorists belonged to different groups, the provincial government has no role, the security forces should do all the work, the provincial helicopters are being used by Imran Khan, the rulers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have completely failed. The chief minister and ministers are hostages in the hands of Imran Khan.
