Ambassador Tirmizi Lauds PAD’s Record-Breaking UAE Flag Initiative

Dubai: In a powerful display of unity and multicultural harmony, the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), in collaboration with Emirates Loves Pakistan and renowned artist Rubab Zahra, unveiled a Guinness World Record-breaking UAE flag composed of 24,514 individual human handprints. The announcement was made during a landmark event attended by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, and Consul General Hussain Muhammad.

The unveiling ceremony, held at PAD’s premises in Al Quoz, saw participation from community members representing over 100 nationalities. The handprints were collected over a month-long activation campaign that began on April 13 and symbolize the diverse yet united spirit of the UAE.

Recognized by Guinness World Records, the initiative marks the largest human handprint flag ever created. Ambassador Tirmizi hailed the achievement as “not merely handprints, but heart prints,” emphasizing the artwork as a tribute to community love, unity, and dedication. “This initiative beautifully aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and stands as a testament to the deep-rooted relationship between the Pakistani community and the UAE,” he added.

The event also looked ahead to future collaborations, with Ambassador Tirmizi encouraging joint efforts for an even grander celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14 this year.
