Army Chief, British CGS discuss regional security issues at GHQ

Rawalpindi: British Chief of Staff General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardle has met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, in the meeting bilateral issues and defense cooperation were discussed.

According to ISPR, British General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ. In the meeting, matters of mutual interest and cooperation in the defense sector were discussed.

The British Chief of Staff acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and efforts for peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, British Chief of Staff also met General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi.

Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and was presented a guard of honor by the Pakistan Army.
