Army Chief expresses full confidence in capabilities of HIT

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir yesterday visited Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) and expressed his full confidence in the capabilities of its personnel.

According to the Department of Public Relations of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited Heavy Industries Taxila, where he reviewed the technical capabilities of HIT, progress of ongoing projects, localization efforts and the status quo. A briefing was given about the innovative measures taken in Hai.

According to the Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited Heavy Industries Taxila, where he was briefed about HIT’s technical capabilities, progress of ongoing projects, localization efforts, and recent innovative initiatives.

The Army Chief visited various factories of HIT and observed the production and upgrading of tanks, APC remote weapon systems and indigenously developed 155 mm artillery gun barrels for the Pakistan Army.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir said that heavy industry Taxila is the hub of knowledge economy which is key to achieving self-reliance in defense production and contributing to national exports and economy.

The Army Chief expressed his full confidence in the capabilities of the personnel and also appreciated the commitment of officers and manpower to transform HIT into a modern defense production facility to meet the requirements of armed forces and law enforcement agencies as per international standards.
