Rawalpindi: In a harrowing exchange of fire, an army major and a soldier were martyred, while five terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Sambaza, Zhob district. This tragic incident underscores the ongoing struggle against terrorism in the region.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Monday that the operation was initiated based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces swiftly moved in and surrounded the terrorists, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire.
During the operation, five terrorists were neutralized, but the heroic efforts of Major Syed Ali Raza Shah (31), hailing from Sargodha district, and Havaldar Nisar Ahmed (30), a resident of Vehari district, led to the ultimate sacrifice. Both soldiers fought gallantly and embraced Shahadat, highlighting their unwavering dedication to defending their nation.
The ISPR paid tribute to the brave men, stating, “Security forces of Pakistan are indebted and proud of our brave men and pay homage to their chivalry and sacrifices for the motherland, which further strengthens our resolve to uproot the menace of terrorism from the country.”
In the aftermath of the operation, security forces are diligently conducting sanitization of the surrounding areas to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists in the region. The nation mourns the loss of Major Syed Ali Raza Shah and Havaldar Nisar Ahmed while standing resolute against the threat of terrorism.
