Army Top Brass Resolves to Confront Terrorism and Uphold National Security

Rawalpindi: The top leadership of the Pakistan Army, led by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, expressed unwavering determination to combat terrorism, targeting both perpetrators and their supporters, during the 82nd Formation Commanders Conference.

Attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers, and all formation commanders, the conference emphasized the acknowledgment of the supreme sacrifices made by Shahudas, including armed forces personnel, law enforcement agencies, and Pakistani citizens, as stated in a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The participants engaged in discussions covering professional matters, national security challenges, and strategies to counter both traditional and non-traditional security threats. The forum took a comprehensive view of the ongoing counter-terrorism operations and asserted that all entities, operating at the behest of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan, would face the full force of the state.

COAS General Syed Asim Munir expressed contentment over the operational preparedness, high training standards, and morale maintained by formations to address emerging threat paradigms.

Beyond the national borders, the forum extended unequivocal diplomatic, moral, and political support to the people of Palestine, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to a two-state solution with pre-1967 borders and Al Quds Al Sharif as the capital of Palestine.

Expressing concerns over the plight of Kashmiris in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forum condemned ongoing human rights violations by Indian forces. The participants reiterated Pakistan’s pledge to support Kashmiris politically, diplomatically, and morally, emphasizing the necessity of self-determination in line with relevant UNSC resolutions.

On the domestic front, the forum pledged full support for government initiatives, including economic recovery, combating illegal activities such as smuggling and hoarding, implementing the One Document Regime, dignified repatriation of illegal foreigners, and safeguarding the national database.

Despite challenges, the forum noted a growing sense of stability, certainty, and optimism across Pakistan in recent months. The leaders resolved to thwart efforts aimed at instigating despondency through perseverance and continued positive actions, with the steadfast support of the people of Pakistan.

Affirming the commitment to defend and serve the nation, the participants urged the people of Pakistan to remain determined and united in the pursuit of enduring stability and security, reinforcing the Pakistan Army’s dedication to the nation’s well-being.
