Amid PTI’s sustained protests and legal challenges since losing power in April 2022, tensions escalated on May 9 when party workers allegedly vandalized state installations following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan in a corruption case. This incident led to further arrests and departures from the party.
PTI leaders maintain that the charges against their members are unfounded, accusing the government of political victimization. They vow to continue their struggle until the reinstatement of Imran Khan’s leadership.
