Arshad Sharif’s body dispatched to Pakistan, Maryam

Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said that the body of journalist Arshad Sharif, who was killed in Kenya, has been sent to Pakistan.

Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said in a statement that as a result of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s conversation with the President of Kenya, the legal issues were completed quickly.

He further said that after completion of the legal procedures, the dead body of late Arshad Sharif has been sent to Islamabad. Pakistan’s ambassador to Kenya, Syeda Saqlain, continuously monitored all the steps for several hours. They remained at the airport till the body of Arshad Sharif was sent to Pakistan.
The body of journalist Arshad Sharif will arrive at Islamabad International Airport by a private flight tonight. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah will receive the body of Arshad Sharif.
