At least 20 dead as rain, storm devastation ravages K-P, Punjab

Islamabad: 19 people were killed and more than 115 injured in accidents due to storms and rains in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 10 people were injured due to rains in different areas of Punjab.

In the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the number of people who have died in various accidents including the falling of wall during stormy rains has increased to 19 while the fear of more deaths is being expressed. 12 people died in Bannu, 3 in Lakki Marwat and 4 in Kark.

According to Rescue 1122, 60 people were injured due to wind and storm, most of the accidents, roofs and walls collapsed.

According to the authorities, in view of the situation, emergency has been implemented in all hospitals. The number of dead and injured is high among children.

Due to heavy rain and flooding in the rivers, the streets and roads are looking like ponds while the electricity has been disconnected.

5 people including three children and a woman died in the incidents of wall collapse due to stormy rains in Lakki Marwat while 26 injured have been shifted to Tehsil Hospital.

On the other hand, rivers and canals have flooded due to heavy rain in Mingora city and surrounding area of ​​Swat, while hailstorm has also occurred in some areas.
