Parachinar: Atleast 7 teachers were killed as a result of firing in a school near the Pakistan-Afghan border.
According to the police, armed men entered the school and barged into the staff room and opened fire indiscriminately. According to initial reports, the deceased teachers were posted on matric examination duty in Government High School Tri Mangal.
The deceased include Mir Hussain, Jawad Hussain, Naveed Hussain, Jawad Ali, Muhammad Hussain and Ali Hussain and others. According to DPO Karam Agency, a policeman has also been injured due to the attack.
According to the report, the armed men ambushed and killed a teacher on Shlawazan Road and then entered the school and opened fire indiscriminately in the staff room, killing all the teachers inside.
After the incident, transportation routes are closed across the district while emergency has been declared in hospitals. Under the Kohat board, the matriculation board exams which started from April 28 have been postponed indefinitely.
