Islamabad: The remand of PTI leader Azam Swati in the controversial tweet case has been extended by one more day, the local court in Islamabad has ordered to produce the accused again tomorrow.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team produced Azam Swati in court on completion of physical remand, the case was heard by duty magistrate Shoaib Akhtar.
A 14-day remand was requested by the prosecutor, in which the position was taken that now it is necessary to recover the mobile phone from Azam Swati. Azam Swati’s tweet was read out in court by the prosecution counsel.
Lawyer Babar Awan took Azam Swati’s mobile phone in the court and made Azam Swati stand on a chair and showed the injury of his leg and toe to the judge and said that my client’s toe is broken.
Babar Awan requested that Azam Swati should not be remanded further, the government should keep an eye on Swat instead of Swati.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion of the appearance, Senator Azam Swati said that Rana Sanaullah and DGFIA are my accused, after cutting the FIR, they handed me over to other agencies who tortured me.
Azam Swati said that I will bring them forward constitutionally, they are asking me why did I defend Senator Saifullah, Senator Saifullah is the right hand of Imran Khan and he is a gentleman, what did Senator Saifullah do? If there is an ordinary worker, I will defend it.
He said that I will also bring DG FIA to book, I will file a case against the Director Cyber Crime Wing and his staff.
