Blast in Bannu injures three security personnel

Bannu: Unknown assailants carried out a hand grenade attack near Basia Khel Police Station area in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, injuring three security personnel.

Swift action was taken as injured personnel were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment, as confirmed by a police official.

In response, the police promptly secured the area, initiating a comprehensive search operation to track down the perpetrators behind the attack.

In a separate incident in Quetta, a security checkpoint near the Spin Karez area faced a mortar shell attack. The assailants targeted a joint checkpoint manned by the police and Frontier Corps (FC). The mortar shell was launched, exploding at a distance from the checkpoint in an open area.

Subsequently, the assailants engaged in gunfire after the mortar attack, but no reports of damage have emerged.

The investigation into the mortar attack incident is ongoing, as authorities work to gather more information and establish the details surrounding the incident.
