UAE: The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi hosted a distinguished literary evening to mark the launch of Zabaan-e-Yara-e-Man Turkey (“The Language of My Beloved is Turkey”), a thought-provoking book authored by renowned historian and writer Dr. Aslam Tasawar Bhutta. The event celebrated a journey through Turkey’s rich history and vibrant culture, drawing an enthusiastic audience of literary figures, diplomats, and members of the Pakistani diaspora.

Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, inaugurated the event and praised Dr. Bhutta’s passion for historical exploration and cultural appreciation. “Nothing enriches understanding more than travel,” said Ambassador Tirmizi, adding that the book had inspired him to revisit Turkey. He commended the book as a testament to Dr. Bhutta’s deep respect for language, culture, and heritage.
Highlighting the book’s charitable dimension, Ambassador Tirmizi acknowledged that all proceeds from the book’s sales are being donated to the Akhuwat Foundation, a leading social welfare organization in Pakistan. He also applauded Mr. Sarmad Khan’s efforts in promoting Urdu literature through the establishment of the Pakistani stall at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025.
