DUBAI: Bookmypet — a UAE-based digital platform that connects pet owners to local service providers — is one of seven winners of Nestlé Purina PetCare Unleashed 2023 Accelerator Lab and will participate in the fourth cohort of its acclaimed accelerator programme.
Bookmypet and the other winners will receive a CHF 50,000 to upscale their businesses, in addition to 20 weeks’ mentorship and supervision by Purina Unleashed Champions and industry experts.
The 2023 Unleashed cohort represents a range of innovative pet-tech and pet-care start-ups from across Europe, Middle East, Australia, and Japan.
Rayan Kesrouani, Business Executive Officer, Nestlé Purina PetCare Middle East and North Africa, said: “We are proud of the innovative start-ups in this year’s UNLEASHED accelerator programme, and looking forward to support them in their journey to further enrich life for pets and their owners.”
Since its inception, the Purina’s Unleashed programme has accelerated 18 impactful start-ups that are actively engaged in creating and implementing innovative solutions, products and services for pets and the people who love them.
Drawing on over 125 years of Purina history and powerful R&D capabilities, the 2023 programme was designed to build on this success by bringing new and cutting-edge products and services to the forefront of the pet care industry.
Previous winners from the Middle East and North Africa region include PawPots from Lebanon and Vetwork from Egypt.
