Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially declared that the upcoming general elections are scheduled to take place during the last week of January 2024.
According to the Election Commission’s announcement, the electoral process will unfold in several stages. First, on September 27, the preliminary list of constituencies will be unveiled. This preliminary list will be open for objections and suggestions from the public and relevant stakeholders.
After a period of deliberation and consideration of these objections and suggestions, the final list of constituencies is slated to be published on November 30. This marks a critical milestone in the preparation for the elections.
Subsequently, a 54-day election program will be initiated, leading up to the grand event in January of the following year. The final list of candidates and the complete election schedule will be disclosed during this period.
