Rawalpindi: Chairman Dubai Port World Sheikh Ahmed Sultan bin Saleem met Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and donated 2.5 million dollars to the Army Relief Fund.
According to Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief and Sheikh Ahmad Sultan bin Saleem discussed the situation, relief efforts, and rehabilitation issues caused by the devastation of floods in Pakistan.
The statement of ISPR said that Sheikh Ahmed Sultan visited the flood-affected areas in Sindh, reviewed the relief activities, and appreciated the rehabilitation efforts of the Pakistan Army in the flood-affected areas.
Sheikh Ahmad Sultan said that the UAE and its leadership are with the people of Pakistan in this hour of trouble. He also offered to bring in more donors for flood relief efforts. Moreover, he also indicated the future investment in Pakistan on behalf of his organization.
According to ISPR, Sheikh Sultan Ahmed also thanked Fakhar Alam for arranging the visit.
