ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on Thursday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The chairman joint chiefs of staff committee congratulated the prime minister on assuming his office and expressed best wishes to him. During the meeting, professional and security affairs of the armed forces also came under discussion.
Meanwhile, former caretaker foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani also called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday.
In the meeting, Jilani briefed the prime minister in detail on the progress made in the foreign affairs during the caretaker government.
PM Shehbaz appreciated the services of Jalil Abbas Jilani as a caretaker foreign minister.
Senator Ishaq Dar and Syed Tariq Fatimi were also present on the occasion, the official news agency reported.
