China HomeLife Dubai expo opens with a bang

DUBAI: The 14th edition of the China HomeLife Dubai opened with a bang in the presence of around 25,000 people on the first day at the Dubai World Trade Centre on June 13.

The three-day exhibition, which continues till June 15, was inaugurated in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Mualla, Sheikh Awad bin Sheikh Mejren, Director of the Commercial Center His Excellency Shihab Al-Murr, Governor of the Central Bank of China Yi Gang, businessmen from 60 countries and almost 25,000 attendees.

The show increased space 4 times compared to the previous editions to feature 1,200+ verified suppliers presenting over 30,000+ products.

The main product categories at the latest edition include building materials, textiles, garments, household and gifts, consumer electronics, furniture, home appliances, machinery and auto parts.

China Homelife offers the best of both worlds, seamlessly merging the benefits of online and offline transactions to provide an ideal platform for business with Chinese manufacturers.

Dr Mustafa, one of the large number of attendees on the first day of the exhibition, said while speaking to Leading News: “We are doing business in Dubai since 1958. It is my great pleasure to attend this China exhibition at World Trade Centre in Dubai. After seeing this exhibition in Dubai, we don’t need to go to Guangzhou. All the Chinese companies are here, exhibiting their wonderful products in different fields; in electronics, in furniture, etc. You name it and you will get it over here. I congratulate His Excellency Juma Madani, Chairman of Al Matiya Group, for organising this exhibition. H.E. has done a wonderful job in bringing China to Dubai.”

“We look forward to such shows which contribute to the economy of the UAE, and trade between China and the UAE, and also across the GCC and North Africa,” Dr Mustafa added.

Pan Jiangiun, an official of China HomeLife Dubai, said: “Dubai is the centre of the Middle East and also a hub for business. And we also think that for cooperation between China and the MENA region, Dubai is the best point.”

He continued while having a chat with Leading News: “Actually our exhibition is covering the whole of China. We have more than 20 provinces and they have sent their companies here to attend this exhibition. You can see that in this exhibition there are eight categories of industries including furniture, building material, textile and many more; you can check for yourself.

“I hope this exhibition can be the platform to promote business between China and the Middle East. Each year, we have two exhibitions here — in June and December. Besides the trading, we hope that this platform can help investment between the two sides. We hope more Chinese companies come here to invest. We also hope that investors here also invest in Chinese companies. We will do all this in the future, this is only the first step. We hope the next step would be of more Chinese investors coming here and more foreign investors investing in Chinese companies.”

Al Matiya Group has played a key role in the organisation of the China HomeLife Dubai exhibition. The Group has collaborated in the organisation of the show and was also instrumental in bringing such a large number of Chinese businesses, companies and officials to Dubai along with a wide range of products.
