Islamabad: The Chinese leadership has expressed satisfaction over adequate security arrangements for its citizens working in Pakistan.
A 47-point declaration of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to China was issued, according to which the Prime Minister held meetings with the Chinese leadership including the President of China and the Prime Minister during the visit.
The statement said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited the Chinese President to visit Pakistan, which he accepted. Besides, the two countries reiterated their support for each other’s position on various issues.
According to the statement, it was agreed to accelerate the pace of work on CPEC-related projects in Pakistan and the Chinese leadership expressed satisfaction over the adequate security arrangements for citizens working in Pakistan.
Apart from this, several agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude for the timely Chinese assistance while the Chinese leadership expressed regret over the damage caused by the recent floods.
