RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Sahir Shamshad Mirza visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday, where he was received by Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
A smartly turned-out Pakistan Air Force contingent presented a guard of honour on his arrival at the headquarters.
During the visit, the air chief highlighted the role of joint operational planning and inter-services coordination in strengthening national defence. He reaffirmed the PAF’s commitment to closely cooperate with sister services in maintaining regional stability and effectively countering security threats.

The CJCSC was briefed on the overall operational preparedness of the PAF, its ongoing modernisation programme and force development initiatives. He expressed satisfaction over the combat readiness of the service and appreciated the professionalism, dedication and performance of PAF personnel in safeguarding Pakistan’s aerial frontiers.
He also lauded the seamless coordination among the three services and expressed confidence that mutual cooperation would continue to strengthen in the future to enhance national defence capabilities.
