Climate change a global issue, says Asim Zeb

MUZAFFARABAD: A policy conference on environmental changes was organised in collaboration between New Sehar Foundation Azad Kashmir and University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing the event, Asim Zeb said that environmental changes have become a global issue and “if we want to control them, we have to focus all our attention on research and development”.

He added that if these environmental changes are not controlled, the future generations will pay for it. “This is a global problem; if any one region is affected by it, then the whole world will have to bear its loss. It is not possible that any one country will suffer from this loss; the whole world will be equally affected by it. Therefore, the entire world must try to control these changes,” Asim Zeb said.

He further said that the developed countries have a particular responsibility to help the smaller countries to solve this problem. He said that special attention should be paid to research and development to solve the problem of environmental change.
