CM Gandapur Bans Governor Kundi from entering KP house

In the ongoing political standoff between Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, tensions reached a new height as Gandapur has barred Governor Kundi from entering the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad.

Sources reveal that Gandapur, who has been occupying the KP House for the past three days, has now assumed control of the annexe previously used by Governor Kundi. In a bold move, Gandapur reportedly removed and discarded Kundi’s belongings from the premises.

Efforts for reconciliation seem to be on the table as Governor Kundi extended an olive branch by inviting CM Gandapur to dinner at the Governor’s House. However, he emphasized that if Gandapur declines, he is welcome to host him at the Chief Minister’s House, stressing that no one has the authority to impose a ban on anyone.

Amidst the escalating tensions, Governor Kundi asserts his commitment to prioritizing the province’s interests over political conflicts, stating, “I will set aside politics to advocate for the province in its dealings with the federation.” He extends an open invitation to all interested parties to visit the Governor’s House, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the betterment of the province rather than political posturing.

The standoff between the two key figures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reflects deeper political rifts, raising concerns about the impact on governance and the welfare of the province’s residents.
