COAS Affirms Commitment to Peace and Progress in KPK

Rawalpindi: In a resounding commitment to the peace and stability of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir reiterated the unwavering dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces during a meeting of the provincial apex committee. The meeting, attended by caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other stakeholders, underlined the pivotal role of the military in preserving the region’s tranquility.

A press release issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) quoted Gen Syed Asim Munir as emphasizing the armed forces’ continuous commitment to safeguarding the lives and assets of the public. The COAS expressed profound gratitude to the martyrs who have made tremendous sacrifices in the pursuit of peace.

Highlighting the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders for national development and stability, Gen Asim Munir stressed the need to strengthen cooperation further.

In a poignant moment, the army chief also participated in a women’s symposium and addressed the gathering. He acknowledged the significant and positive roles women have played throughout Pakistan’s history, underscoring their crucial contributions to the nation’s progress.

Gen Asim Munir drew attention to the formidable challenges that the women of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have faced in their relentless struggle against terrorism. Despite these challenges, he praised the women of the region for their unwavering determination and courage.

He went on to say, “Women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and adjoining regions have actively participated in the development of their communities.” This recognition highlights the invaluable role women continue to play in shaping the future of the region.

As Pakistan strives for peace, development, and progress, Gen Syed Asim Munir’s message reaffirms the nation’s commitment to fostering unity, resilience, and cooperation among all its citizens.
