Islamabad: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which the security situation of the country was discussed.
In the meeting held at the Prime Minister House, Shahbaz Sharif congratulated General Syed Asim Munir on assuming the post of Army Chief. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the nation is happy that you have become the army chief, the relationship of trust and love between the people and the army will be strengthened.
The Prime Minister said that the leadership of an able officer like you will prove important in further improving the professional development of the institution. Apart from this, the professional and national security issues of the Army were discussed in the meeting.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir thanked the Prime Minister on this occasion. It should be noted that this was the first meeting of General Syed Asim Munir with the Prime Minister after assuming the post of Army Chief.
