Rawalpindi: General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The visit aims to strengthen the longstanding bilateral ties between the two nations, with a special focus on defence, security cooperation, and regional peace.
Upon his arrival, General Asim Munir was warmly welcomed by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who hosted him at the Royal Palace. The two leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on a variety of matters of mutual interest, including efforts to enhance regional stability, promote peace, and deepen defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, COAS General Asim Munir expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his unwavering support of Pakistan and acknowledged the Crown Prince’s instrumental role in promoting peace and stability throughout the region. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to address shared security challenges and foster closer ties between the two countries.
Following his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, General Asim Munir met with Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening military-to-military cooperation and enhancing security collaboration in a rapidly evolving regional environment.
