Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be visiting far flung areas of COAS To Visit Flood-Affected Areas In Dadu District Sindh in Dadu district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
The COAS will meet the flood victims in relief and medical camps in the areas. He will also meet the Pakistan Army troops carrying out rescue and relief activities.
The COAS will later be flown for an “aerial reconnaissance” of the flood affected areas of Dadu, including Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Meher Tehsil and Manchar Lake.
Earlier this week, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa spent the Defence and Martyrs Day in far-flung flood-affected areas of Balochistan, a statement issued by the military’s media wing said.
The ISPR said Gen Bajwa visited the army flood relief camp in Usta Muhammad of Jafferabad district where he was briefed about the ongoing rescue and relief operations.
The army chief met troops and appreciated their efforts for the flood victims. “The COAS visited flood relief and medical camps and spent time with the locals to get on-ground information about plans to mitigate their problems,” it added.
