Constitution allows but Elections will be held on time, Federal Govt

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that if early elections are decided, the government will do it itself, elections will be held on time according to the constitution.

While holding a press conference in Islamabad along with the federal ministers, the defense minister said that the Muslim League-N respects the constitution and the law, we do not believe in the politics of revenge, we had bad relations with the world for three and a half years, now it is a big deal, have improved.

The Defense Minister termed the foreign visits of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as beneficial and said that the country’s identity, which deteriorated in the last 3 and a half years, has now improved.

He said that in the last three to four months, the Prime Minister met with world leaders, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Kazakhstan was very important and successful, in two months, the Prime Minister had important meetings with the leaders of 40 countries.

He said that we respect the judiciary of Pakistan, Muslim League-N respects the constitution and the law, we do not believe in the politics of revenge, we respect the judiciary.

Khawaja Asif said that questions were raised by some circles regarding the acquittal of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz and before that Maryam Nawaz, we have proved by our words and actions in the last 4 to 5 years that Pakistan’s Do not want to violate the judicial system and respect it.

He said that ever since Nawaz Sharif appeared before the JIT, Shahbaz Sharif as the prime minister has been appearing in the courts and these decisions have been given by the courts. He said that these decisions were not made sitting in the offices like Gogi or the Accountability Commission was not closed sitting in the offices, the cases like BRT, Malam Jabba or Blintree Tsunami were not closed and we went through the entire process and went to jails. I went and then bails were granted, now Imran Khan is making noise after getting judicial relief.

The Defense Minister said that the leader of Pakistan People’s Party has been my teacher and is a lawyer, he was the first person to leave Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Khawaja Asif said that in 1977, he became a member of the Provincial Assembly in a rigged election six months ago and since then he has started treason. He does not take quota for LPG in his wife’s name, now Imran Khan is shouting when the tape has come.

Answering a question, Khawaja Asif said that the constitution allows it, but the elections will be held on time.
