Court sends Fawad on 14 day judicial remand

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court sent PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry to Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand on Friday.

According to Leading News, Fawad Chaudhry was taken in the court of Judicial Magistrate Waqas Raja on completion of his 2-day physical remand after his arrest on the charge of threatening the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commission members.

During the hearing, the police and the prosecutor requested for his further physical remand. The court reserved its decision on the petition and later issued it, in which the court sent Fawad Chaudhry to jail on 14-day physical remand.

Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmad Raja delivered a reserved verdict, rejecting the plea of ​​the police and the election commission for further physical remand and ordered Fawad Chaudhry to be sent to jail on judicial remand.

After the court order, PTI decided to file bail for Fawad Chaudhry. In this regard, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that we will file a bail application shortly.
