Cyclone Biparjoy 380km away from Karachi, waves as high as 30 feet

Karachi: The distance of the cyclone from Karachi has reduced to 380 km, the wind speed of 160 km per hour and waves up to 30 feet are rising in the vicinity of Biperjoy. Due to the effects of the storm, mud storms also occurred in some places in the city. Security forces of Pakistan Army are also ready to deal with unpleasant situations.

The Meteorological Department has issued the 17th Cyclone Alert, according to which the intensity and advance of Biperjoy is continuing rapidly and it has been moving towards northwest during the last a few hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is 380 km from the south of Karachi, while the storm is 390 km from the south of Thatta. Winds at the center of the storm are gusting at 150 to 160 kilometers per hour, while waves as high as 30 feet are being raised in the center and flanks of the storm.

According to the Meteorological Department, by June 14 (today), the cyclone will move north-east and on the afternoon of June 15, the storm will hit Katy Bandh in south-eastern Sindh and Indian Gujarat.
