According to Leading News, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has taken strict notice of disclosure of tax information of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s family and termed it an illegal move.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the leakage of information is a violation of the Taxpayer Information Protection Act, and the Finance Minister has directed Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Revenue, Tariq Pasha, to start an immediate inquiry into the matter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister has directed that the people involved in the matter should be traced and a report submitted within twenty days.
