SHARJAH: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has said that the Independence Day will see a new dawn.
After a cutting a cake at an event in connection with Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day celebrations, Ambassador Tirmizi said he had a good news to share. “The Independence Day will bring a new morning, and that too from Dubai,” he said. “The day will see the beginning of direct flights from Dubai to Pakistan’s tourist destination of Skardu.”
He said that this is a major decision by the government of Pakistan to promote tourism in the country.
The cake-cutting ceremony was organised by Haji Yasin and Sohail Khawar, the Pakistani businessmen who introduced ‘Made in Pakistan’ in the United Arab Emirates. Expressing their happiness on the occasion, they greeted all countrymen and women on the Independence Day and resolved to keep Pakistan’s name high.
On this occasion, Mudassar Khushnood was presented a special shield for journalism and social services.
